About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Commercial Property Surveyor to join their expanding remote team. This position is crucial for providing expert surveying services, including building surveys, dilapidations, and lease advisory, to a diverse clientele across the UK. Operating in a fully remote capacity, you will utilize your expertise to assess property conditions, identify potential risks, and offer strategic advice, contributing significantly to client success and portfolio optimization. The role demands a proactive approach, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage projects autonomously, all while fostering a collaborative spirit within a distributed workforce focused on delivering exceptional service from Coventry and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive building surveys and inspections for commercial properties, identifying defects and potential issues.
• Prepare detailed dilapidations schedules and negotiate claims on behalf of landlords or tenants.
• Provide expert advice on lease terms, building regulations, and property maintenance strategies.
• Liaise effectively with clients, legal teams, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor for their commercial property needs.
• Manage multiple survey projects concurrently, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality reports and recommendations, with a focus on properties in and around the Coventry area.

Requirements

• Professional qualification such as RICS (Building Surveying pathway) or similar.
• Significant experience (5+ years) in commercial property surveying, with demonstrable expertise in dilapidations and lease advisory.
• Strong understanding of building construction, materials, and defect diagnosis.
• Proficiency in using survey equipment and relevant software for reporting and data management.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with a capacity for clear, concise reporting.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and maintain high professional standards in a remote setting .
