About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Commercial Property Surveyor to join their established practice in Birmingham . This role offers the opportunity to manage a diverse caseload of commercial properties, providing expert advice on acquisitions, disposals, leasehold negotiations, and property management. You will play a crucial part in advising clients ranging from private investors to institutional bodies, ensuring their property assets are performing optimally. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct dilapidations claims, schedule of conditions, and defect analysis for commercial properties.
• Manage and negotiate commercial lease renewals and rent reviews in line with market conditions.
• Undertake property acquisition and disposal support, including due diligence and report preparation.
• Provide expert witness services and advice on property disputes.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, tenants, and other industry professionals.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant property legislation and best practices.

Requirements

• Professional qualification such as MRICS or equivalent in Commercial Property Surveying.
• Proven experience in commercial property surveying, ideally with exposure to the Birmingham market.
• Strong understanding of landlord and tenant legislation and leasehold covenants.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and client management skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency with relevant surveying software and technology.
