About the Role

Key Responsibilities
- Assess and underwrite new and renewal commercial insurance business, ensuring adherence to underwriting guidelines and appetite.
- Analyze financial statements, risk exposures, and loss histories to determine appropriate pricing and terms.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers and clients, providing expert advice and service.
- Develop and implement underwriting strategies to achieve profitable growth targets.
- Stay abreast of market trends, regulatory changes, and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with claims and actuarial departments to share insights and improve underwriting accuracy.
Requirements
- Significant experience as a Commercial Underwriter , preferably with expertise in specific lines of business (e.g., property, casualty, cyber).
- Strong understanding of risk assessment principles, financial analysis, and insurance products.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with external partners.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding underwriting profit and growth objectives.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field is preferred.
