About the Role

Our client is actively recruiting for a Commercial Van Driver to become a key member of their operations team in Southampton . This position is vital for ensuring the efficient and reliable delivery of products to businesses and customers throughout the Hampshire region. You will be responsible for operating a company van, managing your delivery schedule, and providing excellent customer service at each drop-off point. The successful candidate will be a proactive individual with a strong work ethic and a commitment to upholding our company’s reputation for prompt and professional delivery services in Hampshire .

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily deliveries and collections using a company commercial van.
• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods to specified locations within the Southampton area.
• Maintain the cleanliness and basic upkeep of the company vehicle.
• Collect payments or proof of delivery as required, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete.
• Communicate effectively with the dispatch team and customers regarding delivery status and any potential issues.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and health and safety regulations.

Requirements

• Full UK Driving Licence with a clean driving record.
• Previous experience driving commercial vans or as a delivery driver is preferred.
• Good geographical knowledge of Southampton and surrounding areas.
• Ability to handle packages and load/unload goods efficiently.
• Strong sense of responsibility and punctuality.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
