Our client is seeking a dependable and experienced Commercial Van Driver to manage deliveries and collections for their business in Portsmouth . You will be responsible for operating a company van, planning optimal routes within the local area, and providing excellent service to clients. Key Responsibilities

• Drive a company van to transport goods, materials, and equipment to various customer locations in and around Portsmouth .
• Plan and execute daily delivery routes efficiently, considering traffic conditions and delivery time windows.
• Load and unload the van safely, ensuring goods are properly secured to prevent damage during transit.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks, including fluid levels, tire pressure, and lights, and report any issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate delivery records, collection notes, and any required paperwork.
• Provide polite and professional service to customers upon delivery and collection.
• Adhere to all company policies and traffic regulations at all times.

Requirements

• A valid UK driving license with a clean driving record. Experience driving commercial vehicles is essential.
• Proven experience as a van driver or in a similar delivery role.
• Good knowledge of the Portsmouth area and surrounding road networks.
• Ability to manage time effectively and work independently to meet delivery targets.
• Physical capability to lift and move goods as required for loading and unloading.
• A responsible attitude towards vehicle maintenance and safety procedures in logistics .
