Field-Based | £40,000 - £50,000 + Overtime | Company Vehicle | UK, European & International Travel
A global engineering business operating within the water and process sector is seeking a Commissioning Engineer to support projects across the UK and internationally.
This is a hands-on field-based role involving commissioning, performance testing, troubleshooting, control system integration and customer training across a range of water purification and process technologies.
Travel throughout the UK and overseas forms a significant part of the position.
The successful candidate will be:
* Responsible for commissioning, testing and optimising water treatment and purification systems
* Carrying out Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)
* Troubleshooting process, mechanical and control system issues, and supporting PLC
* HMI and SCADA-controlled equipment.
* The role offers exposure to reverse osmosis (RO), EDI, ion exchange, membrane and related treatment technologies, together with instrumentation including flow, pressure, level, conductivity and pH systems.
* You will also provide customer training, technical support and utilise digital and AI-enabled tools to support diagnostics and reporting.
Applicants should have previous experience as:
* A Commissioning Engineer
* Field Service Engineer
* Process Engineer or in a similar role
* Ideally with a background in water treatment, utilities, process plant, manufacturing, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, power generation or related industries.
* Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills are essential, along with knowledge of process systems, instrumentation and control systems.
* PLC and SCADA experience would be advantageous.
