Job Description
Nelson Recruitment are delighted to be recruiting for a Commissioning Engineer on behalf of a well-established and growing engineering business. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer to join a dynamic team, working on the commissioning, testing, and handover of a wide range of industrial and commercial systems.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Commission and test electrical, mechanical, and control systems.
- Carry out site inspections, fault-finding, and system validation.
- Verify installations comply with design specifications and industry standards.
- Produce commissioning reports and technical documentation.
- Liaise with clients, project managers, contractors, and site teams.
- Support project delivery through the commissioning and handover stages.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues during commissioning activities.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Travel Nationwide for work
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Commissioning Engineer or in a similar engineering role.
- Strong electrical and/or mechanical engineering knowledge.
- Experience working with PLCs, automation systems, or industrial controls is advantageous.
- Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Relevant engineering qualifications such as HNC, HND, NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent.
