My client works in cleanroom commissioning, HVAC validation, and controlled environment services.
They work with healthcare, pharmaceutical, biotechnology and cleanroom clients across the UK, they deliver critical commissioning, balancing and compliance services that ensure facilities operate safely and efficiently.
They are looking for an experienced Commissioning Engineer based in the Northwest to join their team.
The Role of the Commissioning Engineer
The Commissioning Engineer will be responsible for carrying out HVAC commissioning, air and water balancing, and validation activities across a wide range of cleanroom, healthcare and pharmaceutical environments.
The Commissioning Engineer will work closely with Project Managers and Lead Engineers, to ensure projects are completed to the highest technical and safety standards while delivering an excellent service to customers.
This is a field-based role, which involved travel across the UK, with accommodation, travel expenses and specialist calibrated equipment provided by the company.
Key Responsibilities of the Commissioning Engineer
- Carry out HVAC commissioning and air & water balancing on commercial and critical environment projects.
- Commission ventilation systems in accordance with BSRIA Guidelines and CIBSE Codes A & W.
- Produce accurate commissioning reports and documentation.
- Liaise with clients on site, providing a professional and customer-focused service.
- Build strong relationships with customers and represent the business professionally.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with Health & Safety legislation.
- Follow instructions from Project Managers and Lead Engineers.
- Care for and maintain company-issued specialist testing and commissioning equipment.
- Support continuous improvement and maintain the highest quality standards.
- Travel throughout the UK as required, including overnight stays when necessary.
Requirements of Commissioning Engineer
- Proven experience in HVAC commissioning and air & water balancing
- Strong understanding of BSRIA Guidelines and CIBSE Codes A & W
- CSA Grade 3 or Grade 4 qualification (desired)
- Previous experience within healthcare, pharmaceutical, cleanroom or critical environment projects (desired)
- IT and computer skills
- CSCS Skilled Card
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Flexible approach with a willingness to travel and stay away when required
