About the Role
Our client is looking for an experienced and strategic Communications Manager to lead their public relations efforts in Coventry . You will be responsible for developing and executing integrated communication strategies that align with the company's business objectives and enhance its public image. This is a key leadership role requiring a blend of creative thinking, strategic planning, and hands-on execution to manage all aspects of external and internal communications. You will work closely with senior leadership to ensure consistent and impactful messaging across all platforms, operating from our central Coventry office.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute integrated communication strategies , including media relations, public affairs, and corporate communications.
- Oversee the creation of compelling content for various channels, including press releases, speeches, social media, and website copy.
- Manage the company's reputation and brand image through proactive and reactive communication efforts.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for media inquiries and facilitate media interviews.
- Develop and implement crisis communication plans to effectively manage sensitive situations.
- Lead and mentor a small team of communication professionals, fostering a culture of excellence.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in public relations , corporate communications, or a related field.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful communication strategies that deliver measurable results.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and presentation skills.
- Strong media relations expertise and a robust network of contacts.
- Experience in crisis management and reputation protection.
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related discipline; a Master's degree is a plus.
