About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and creative Communications Manager to lead their communications strategy in Brighton . This role is essential for shaping and disseminating the organisation's message, ensuring it resonates with stakeholders, supporters, and the wider public. You will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive communication plan that enhances brand awareness and supports fundraising and engagement goals within the Charity & Voluntary sector. This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing for a balance of office and remote work.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a robust communications strategy aligned with organisational objectives.
- Oversee the creation and distribution of engaging content across all communication channels, including press releases, social media, website, and newsletters.
- Manage media relations, build strong relationships with journalists, and respond to media inquiries.
- Develop and manage crisis communication plans.
- Ensure brand consistency and adherence to communication guidelines across all platforms.
- Monitor media coverage and analyse communication campaign effectiveness, providing regular reports.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Communications Manager or in a senior communications role, ideally within the Charity & Voluntary sector.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for crafting compelling narratives.
- Strong media relations experience and a good understanding of the media landscape.
- Proficiency in digital communications, social media management, and content creation.
- Experience in developing and implementing communication strategies and campaigns.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid setting, demonstrating strong organisational skills in Brighton .
