About the Role

Our client, a dedicated organisation within the Charity & Voluntary sector, is looking for a creative and skilled Communications Officer to lead their external communications efforts. This fully remote role is vital for shaping and disseminating the charity's message, enhancing public awareness, and engaging stakeholders. You will be responsible for developing compelling content across various platforms to tell the charity's story and highlight its impact. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy to raise the charity's profile and engage key audiences.
• Create engaging written and visual content for various platforms, including website, social media, press releases, newsletters, and annual reports.
• Manage and grow the charity's social media presence, fostering community interaction and brand advocacy.
• Build and maintain relationships with media contacts, responding to press inquiries and facilitating media coverage.
• Ensure all communications are consistent with brand guidelines and messaging, maintaining a strong and unified voice.
• Monitor media coverage and online sentiment, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Communications Officer, Content Creator, or similar role, preferably in the non-profit sector.
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a strong portfolio of diverse communication materials.
• Proficiency in social media management tools and digital content creation.
• Experience in media relations and developing effective communication campaigns.
• A passion for the Charity & Voluntary sector and a commitment to clear, impactful communication.
