About the Role

Our client is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Community Care Assistant to join their team in Portsmouth , working on a part-time basis. You will provide essential support and assistance to vulnerable individuals within their own homes, helping them to maintain their independence and quality of life. This role involves assisting with personal care, domestic duties, medication prompts, and providing valuable companionship. Key Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal hygiene routines, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Support clients with meal preparation, ensuring nutritional needs are met.
• Provide medication reminders and ensure clients take their prescribed doses.
• Engage clients in conversation, activities, and outings to combat loneliness and promote well-being.
• Carry out light domestic duties to maintain a safe and comfortable living environment.
• Monitor and report any changes in a client's health or circumstances to the care manager.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a caregiving role is beneficial but not essential; comprehensive training will be provided.
• A naturally caring, patient, and respectful attitude towards others.
• Good communication skills and the ability to listen effectively.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong sense of commitment.
• Willingness to undergo a background check and obtain necessary certifications.
