About the Role
Our client, a vital organisation within the Charity & Voluntary sector, is seeking a proactive and engaging Community Development Officer to join their team in Wolverhampton . This role focuses on empowering local communities by identifying needs, developing supportive initiatives, and fostering strong relationships with residents and local groups. You will play a key part in facilitating community-led projects, encouraging participation, and ensuring that our client's services effectively meet the needs of the people they serve in the Wolverhampton area. The ideal candidate will be passionate about social impact, possess excellent communication skills, and have a natural ability to connect with diverse populations.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify community needs and opportunities through engagement, research, and consultation in Wolverhampton .
- Develop and implement community development projects and initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with community members, local groups, and stakeholders.
- Facilitate workshops, meetings, and events to encourage community participation and collaboration.

Requirements

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic data management.
