About the Role

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Community Engagement Lead to foster deeper connections and drive participation in their initiatives across the Plymouth area. This role is pivotal in building strong relationships with community members, local organisations, and volunteers, ensuring that our client's services are accessible and responsive to local needs. You will lead on developing and implementing creative engagement strategies, inspiring greater involvement and support for the charity's vital work. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive community engagement strategies to increase participation and support.
• Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with community groups, local businesses, and stakeholders in Plymouth .
• Organise and facilitate community events, workshops, and information sessions to raise awareness and promote services.
• Recruit, train, and support volunteers involved in community outreach activities.
• Gather feedback from the community to inform programme development and service delivery.
• Represent the organisation at community forums and events, acting as a key ambassador.

Requirements

• Proven experience in community development, outreach, or engagement, preferably within the charity or social sector .
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse groups and stakeholders.
• Experience in event planning and management.
• Strong understanding of community needs and social dynamics within the Devon region.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively in a remote setting.
