Community Engagement Officer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and dynamic Community Engagement Officer to build and strengthen relationships within the diverse communities of Nottingham . This role is key to ensuring our client's services are accessible, understood, and valued by local residents. You will be responsible for developing and implementing outreach strategies, coordinating engaging events, and fostering partnerships with local organisations and community groups. This position requires a passionate individual dedicated to promoting social inclusion and ensuring the community's voice is heard, contributing directly to the positive development and impact of services within the region, working collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement effective community engagement plans and initiatives.
• Organise and facilitate community events, workshops, and information sessions to promote services.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with community leaders, local charities, and resident groups.
• Develop engaging communication materials, including flyers, social media content, and newsletters.
• Identify community needs and gather feedback to inform service improvements and strategy.
• Represent the organisation at local meetings, forums, and community events.

Requirements

• Proven experience in community engagement, outreach, or a related field.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational and event management capabilities.
