Community Engagement Officer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a passionate and driven Community Engagement Officer to join their vital team, operating remotely from Aberdeen . In this role, you will be instrumental in building and nurturing relationships with various community stakeholders, including beneficiaries, volunteers, and partner organizations, to advance the charity's mission. You will play a crucial part in raising awareness, fostering support, and ensuring the continued impact of our client's work across the region and beyond, all within a supportive and fully remote working environment designed for collaboration and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic outreach plans to engage diverse community groups.
• Organize and facilitate online events, workshops, and information sessions to promote the charity's services and impact.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with local community leaders, businesses, and other non-profit organizations.
• Create compelling content for social media, newsletters, and other communication channels to highlight community involvement and success stories.
• Recruit, train, and manage remote volunteers, ensuring they feel supported and valued in their contributions.
• Gather feedback from the community to inform program development and service delivery improvements.

Requirements

• Proven experience in community development, outreach, or a related field, preferably within the non-profit sector.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills , with the ability to engage effectively with a wide range of audiences remotely.
• Proficiency in using virtual collaboration tools and digital engagement platforms .
• Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and execute projects independently.
