Community Engagement Officer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a dynamic and motivated Community Engagement Officer to join their Community & Social Care team in Oxford . This role is central to building and strengthening relationships between our client and the diverse communities they serve. You will be responsible for developing and implementing engagement strategies, organising events, and fostering partnerships that enhance service accessibility and impact within Oxford . Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive community engagement strategies and action plans.
• Organise and facilitate community events, workshops, and information sessions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with community groups, local organisations, and stakeholders in Oxford .
• Raise awareness of the client's services and initiatives within the community.
• Gather feedback from community members to inform service planning and development.
• Represent the client at community meetings and forums.

Requirements

• Proven experience in community engagement , outreach, or a similar role within the social sector.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong understanding of community needs and dynamics.
• Ability to plan and manage events and projects effectively.
• Local knowledge of Oxford and its community structures is highly advantageous.
