Community Inclusion Facilitator

About the Role

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic Community Inclusion Facilitator to join their team based in Brighton . This role is dedicated to promoting social inclusion and independence for individuals by connecting them with community activities, resources, and support networks. The position requires a combination of fieldwork within East Sussex and office-based coordination. You will play a key role in empowering individuals to participate more fully in community life, fostering a sense of belonging and enhancing their overall well-being. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about community development and social integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies to foster social inclusion for individuals within the community.
• Identify and build relationships with local organisations, groups, and activities suitable for clients.
• Support individuals to access and participate in community settings, providing assistance as needed.
• Facilitate workshops and information sessions to raise awareness of inclusion opportunities.
• Maintain accurate records of client engagement, progress, and outcomes.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic support for individuals.

Requirements

• Experience in community development, social work, or a related support role.
• Strong understanding of social inclusion principles and barriers to participation.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse individuals.
• Proven ability to plan and organise activities and events.
• Proficiency in using IT systems for record-keeping and communication.
• Ability to work flexibly, including some evening or weekend work as required.
