Community Outreach Coordinator

About the Role

Our client is looking for a proactive and organised Community Outreach Coordinator to join their team in Milton Keynes . This role is crucial in building and maintaining strong relationships with local community groups, charities, and individuals, identifying needs and facilitating access to services. You will balance remote work with on-site engagement, acting as a key liaison to foster community integration and support. This hybrid position allows for both focused remote work and direct community interaction, contributing to a vibrant and well-supported local environment, championing collaborative efforts to address social needs effectively within the Buckinghamshire area.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement outreach strategies to connect with diverse community members and organisations.
• Organise and coordinate community events, workshops, and information sessions, both online and in-person.
• Build and nurture relationships with local stakeholders, including charities, local authorities, and community leaders.
• Identify community needs and gaps in services, reporting findings and recommendations to management.
• Manage communication channels, including social media and newsletters, to promote services and engage the community.
• Maintain accurate records of outreach activities, contacts, and outcomes.

Requirements

• Proven experience in community development, outreach, or a similar role.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and networking skills.
• Ability to engage effectively with diverse groups of people.
• Strong organisational and planning abilities, with experience managing events.
• Proficiency in digital communication tools and standard office software; ability to work effectively both remotely and on-site.
