About the Role

This role is crucial for building strong relationships with local residents, community groups, and stakeholders, identifying needs, and promoting our client's services. You will be instrumental in increasing awareness and participation in our programs, ensuring we effectively serve the diverse needs of the community, blending remote work flexibility with essential on-the-ground engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement outreach strategies to connect with diverse community groups and individuals.
• Organise and lead community events, workshops, and information sessions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with local partners, charities, and public services.
• Promote our client's services and initiatives through various communication channels, including social media and local press.
• Gather feedback from the community to inform service development and delivery.
• Represent our client at local forums and networking events.

Requirements

• Previous experience in community development, social work, or a related field.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to engage effectively with diverse groups of people.
• Experience in event planning and project coordination.
• Familiarity with the social landscape and resources within Tyne and Wear .
• A driving license and access to a vehicle for local travel may be required.
