About the Role

This role is crucial for building and strengthening the charity's presence within local communities, fostering engagement, and mobilising support for its vital services. You will be instrumental in connecting with diverse groups, volunteers, and local stakeholders to promote the charity's mission and programmes. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement effective community outreach strategies to increase awareness and engagement with the charity's services.
• Organise and lead community events, workshops, and information sessions across Birmingham and surrounding areas.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with local community groups, schools, businesses, and faith organisations.
• Recruit, train, and support volunteers involved in outreach activities.
• Gather feedback from the community to inform programme development and service delivery.
• Manage outreach materials and resources, ensuring they are up-to-date and effectively distributed.

Requirements

• Experience in community engagement, outreach, or a related field, preferably within the Charity & Voluntary sector.
• Strong understanding of community dynamics and the ability to engage diverse populations.
• Excellent organisational and event management skills.
• Confident presentation and public speaking abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours.
• Proficiency in standard office software and social media platforms.
