Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and organised Community Sports Coordinator to drive grassroots sports participation in a fully remote capacity. This role is vital for engaging diverse communities, developing local sports initiatives, and fostering a love for physical activity. You will work from home, connecting with local organisations, planning programmes, and managing projects to increase sports engagement across various demographics. The ideal candidate is passionate about community development through sport, possesses strong communication and organisational skills, and thrives in an autonomous, remote working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage community sports programmes and events.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community groups, schools, and local authorities.
- Promote sports participation opportunities to a wide range of audiences.
- Identify and secure funding opportunities through grant applications and sponsorships.
- Monitor and evaluate programme success, reporting on impact and outcomes.
- Recruit, train, and manage volunteers to support programme delivery.
- Develop communication strategies and create engaging content for promotional materials.
Requirements
- Experience in community development, sports development, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of principles of sports participation and inclusion.
