Community Support Officer

About the Role

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic Community Support Officer to join their vibrant Community & Social Care team in Coventry . You will be a key point of contact for clients, coordinating services and advocating for their needs across Coventry . Key Responsibilities

• Provide practical and emotional support to individuals with diverse needs, including older adults, people with disabilities, and those facing social isolation.
• Assist clients with daily living tasks, such as accessing services, managing finances, and attending appointments.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, their families, and support networks.
• Collaborate with statutory and voluntary sector organisations to ensure a coordinated approach to care.
• Monitor client progress and report any changes in needs or circumstances to the relevant manager.
• Organise and facilitate community-based activities and groups to promote social inclusion.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a care or support role , preferably within the community sector.
• Good understanding of the principles of person-centred care and safeguarding vulnerable adults.
• Excellent communication and listening skills, with empathy and patience.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in basic IT skills for record-keeping and communication.
• Commitment to promoting independence and well-being for all clients.
