Community Support Worker - Adult Services

About the Role

Our client is seeking empathetic and reliable Community Support Workers to join their adult services team in Wolverhampton . This role is focused on providing practical and emotional support to adults with a range of needs, enabling them to maintain independence and participate fully in their community. You will assist clients with daily living tasks, facilitate social engagement, and support them in achieving their personal goals. This position offers a chance to work closely with individuals, build meaningful relationships, and make a genuine difference in their lives through dedicated, person-centred care.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care, domestic tasks, and medication as outlined in their support plans.
• Provide companionship and emotional support, fostering a sense of well-being and reducing feelings of isolation.
• Support clients in engaging with community activities, hobbies, and social events.
• Help clients manage their finances, appointments, and household responsibilities effectively.
• Accurately record observations and report any changes in a client's condition or circumstances to the care manager.
• Promote independence and choice for all clients, encouraging them to participate in decisions about their care.

Requirements

• A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable adults and a caring, patient demeanour.
• Good communication and listening skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
• Understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding principles.
• Willingness to undertake required training and professional development.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including some evenings and weekends, as required.
