Our client is seeking a dedicated and empathetic Community Support Worker to join their expanding team, offering vital assistance to individuals within their own homes and local communities in and around Aberdeen . This remote-first position is crucial for enabling clients to live independent, fulfilling lives while receiving tailored support. You will be instrumental in fostering well-being, promoting social inclusion, and ensuring a high standard of care is delivered consistently, working autonomously but with full backing from a supportive management structure. This role requires a proactive approach to client engagement and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of professional conduct in a remote setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personalised support and assistance to clients in their homes, helping with daily living tasks, personal care, and domestic chores.
- Facilitate social inclusion by encouraging participation in community activities, hobbies, and appointments.
- Monitor and report on clients' well-being, escalating any concerns to the appropriate manager promptly.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with clients, their families, and other support professionals involved in their care.
- Administer medication as prescribed, following strict safety protocols and recording administration accurately.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records, adhering to data protection regulations.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a care or support role is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and patient demeanour.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and maintain motivation in a remote work environment.
- Understanding of safeguarding principles and confidentiality in care provision.
- Willingness to undertake necessary training and professional development.
- Basic IT proficiency for record-keeping and communication.
