Community Support Worker

About the Role

Our client is looking for a compassionate and proactive Community Support Worker to join their expanding team in Coventry . This role is central to delivering accessible and high-quality care services to individuals in their own homes and within community settings. You will play a vital part in empowering clients to live fulfilling lives by assisting with daily tasks, providing companionship, and facilitating their engagement with local community activities. The position offers a unique opportunity to make a tangible difference in the lives of people across the West Midlands, working within a supportive framework.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care needs, including hygiene, dressing, and medication reminders.
• Support clients in maintaining their independence by assisting with household chores, meal preparation, and shopping.
• Engage clients in social and recreational activities, both within the home and in the wider community.
• Monitor clients' well-being, promptly reporting any changes or concerns to the supervising manager.
• Build positive and trusting relationships with clients and their families.
• Accompany clients to appointments and community events as required.

Requirements

• Experience in a caregiving or support role is highly desirable.
• A genuine passion for helping others and a patient, understanding approach.
• Good communication and listening skills.
• Ability to work flexibly, including some evenings and weekends.
• Basic IT skills for record-keeping.
• A valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle is advantageous for this hybrid role.
