Complaints Administrator – 12 Week Temporary Assignment
Location: Wigston, Leicester Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm – 35 hours per week Hybrid: 3 days in the office / 2 days working from home Contract: Temporary – 12 Week Assignment Full-Time
We’re looking for an organised and professional Complaints Administrator to join a busy customer-focused team in Wigston on an initial 12-week temporary assignment.
This is primarily a written complaints and queries role, dealing with inbound emails and taking ownership of each query through investigation to resolution.
You’ll review the information provided, establish what has happened and produce a clear, professional and accurate formal response.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing inbound customer complaints and queries via email
- Reviewing and understanding the issues raised
- Investigating each case and gathering relevant information
- Liaising with internal departments to establish the facts
- Producing clear and professional formal written responses
- Keeping customers updated where further investigation is required
- Managing your own caseload and working to required timescales
- Maintaining accurate records of correspondence and outcomes
- Escalating more complex cases where appropriate
- Providing general administrative support to the wider team
What We’re Looking For
You don’t necessarily need to have worked specifically as a Complaints Administrator. We’re interested in candidates from complaints, administration, customer service, legal administration, case management, insurance, financial services, housing or similar customer-focused environments.
You’ll need:
- Excellent written English and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Good investigation and problem-solving skills
- Previous administration or customer service experience
- Confidence dealing with sensitive or challenging queries
- Ability to gather information and establish the facts
- Strong organisation and time-management skills
- A professional approach to written correspondence
- Good IT and Microsoft Office skills
- Availability to commit to the full 12-week assignment
This would be a great temporary opportunity for someone who enjoys investigating problems, getting to the bottom of customer queries and producing well-written responses.
