Completion Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Completion Engineer to join their team, contributing to the design and execution of effective well completion strategies in Plymouth, Devon, UK . This role is crucial for optimizing well performance and ensuring safe, efficient hydrocarbon production from newly drilled wells. You will be involved in selecting appropriate completion equipment, planning and executing completion operations, and diagnosing downhole issues. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and a commitment to innovative solutions that maximize asset value for the company's projects in the Plymouth area.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and optimize well completion programs, including the selection of tubulars, packers, safety valves, and artificial lift systems.
• Develop detailed procedures for completion operations, ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Collaborate with drilling and reservoir engineers to ensure alignment with well objectives and reservoir characteristics.
• Manage the procurement and logistics of completion equipment and services.
• Supervise and provide technical support during completion operations , troubleshooting downhole challenges.
• Conduct post-completion analysis to evaluate performance and identify areas for improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in completion engineering within the Oil & Gas sector.
• Proficiency in completion design software and downhole equipment selection.
• Strong understanding of wellbore integrity, subsurface equipment , and production operations.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
