Job Description
We are looking for experienced and compassionate Complex Care Support Workers to join a dedicated 2:1 care team supporting an individual with significant complex care needs.
The individual has severe cerebral palsy, developmental delay, chronic lung disease, tracheostomy, epilepsy and a gastrostomy. They are non-verbal, nil by mouth and require full moving and handling support, including wheelchair and P-Pod chair use.
Key Responsibilities
- Tracheostomy, airway and chest management
- Gastrostomy and medication support
- Epilepsy management
- Full moving and handling (2:1)
- Personal care and daily support
- Recognising and responding to non-verbal communication
- Following care plans and maintaining accurate records
Previous complex care experience is desirable, particularly experience with tracheostomy, PEG/gastrostomy, epilepsy and moving & handling. Full training will be provided where required.
