We're looking for a Compliance Lead to join our clients Product & Supply team and take ownership of compliance, sustainability and product governance across their supplier network. This is a key role focused on ensuring products, suppliers and processes meet all relevant regulatory requirements while helping the business stay ahead of evolving legislation.
Working cross-functionally with Product, Sourcing, Supply Chain and Quality teams, you'll drive compliance initiatives, strengthen supplier standards and provide expert guidance to minimise risk across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the company's compliance and sustainability strategy, ensuring processes remain aligned with current and future regulatory requirements.
- Keep up to date with UK, EU and international legislation, assessing business impact and implementing any required changes.
- Oversee product compliance, ensuring all product information, labelling, technical documentation and supporting records meet legal requirements across multiple markets.
- Manage the implementation and ongoing maintenance of Digital Product Passport (DPP) requirements and associated product data.
- Own and maintain key compliance frameworks, including product safety requirements, restricted materials lists and governance documentation.
- Partner with suppliers to ensure ethical, environmental and traceability standards are consistently met, with all certifications and audits maintained and up to date.
- Coordinate supplier onboarding from a compliance perspective, ensuring all required documentation and approvals are completed.
- Produce regular compliance and sustainability reporting, providing clear insights and updates to stakeholders across the business.
About You:
- Previous experience in a compliance, sustainability or regulatory role within a product-based retail environment.
- Strong understanding of UK and EU product legislation, compliance requirements and supply chain governance.
- Experience working with global supplier networks, including audits, certifications and traceability programmes.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong analytical skills with experience producing reports and managing compliance data.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- A collaborative communicator who builds strong relationships across internal teams and external suppliers.
