Compliance Officer - Financial Services

About the Role

Our client, a forward-thinking financial services firm, is seeking a meticulous and experienced Compliance Officer to join their team, operating on a fully remote basis. This critical role will involve ensuring adherence to all relevant financial regulations and internal policies across the organization. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring compliance frameworks, conducting internal audits, and providing guidance to staff on regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive compliance policies and procedures in line with FCA and other regulatory guidelines.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and internal audits to identify potential compliance breaches and areas for improvement.
• Monitor regulatory changes and advise the business on their impact and necessary actions.
• Investigate potential compliance issues and breaches, escalating as necessary and recommending corrective actions.
• Deliver compliance training and awareness programs to employees across various departments.
• Act as a key point of contact for regulatory bodies and external auditors.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a compliance, risk, or regulatory role within the financial services industry .
• In-depth knowledge of UK financial regulations, including those set by the FCA (e.g., MiFID II, AML, GDPR).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and advise stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively in a remote working environment.
• Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., ICA Diploma) are highly desirable.
