Compliance Officer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and experienced Compliance Officer to join their expanding operations in Milton Keynes . This critical role ensures adherence to all relevant regulatory requirements within the financial services sector, safeguarding the organization against risks and maintaining its integrity. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring compliance programs, providing guidance to staff, and staying abreast of evolving regulatory landscapes. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain robust compliance policies and procedures in line with current regulations.
• Conduct regular compliance audits and risk assessments to identify potential areas of non-compliance.
• Provide training and guidance to employees on compliance matters and regulatory obligations.
• Monitor regulatory changes and industry best practices, ensuring the organization remains compliant.
• Investigate and report on any compliance breaches or suspicious activities, recommending corrective actions.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and external auditors as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience (3+ years) in a compliance role within the banking and finance industry or a related regulated sector.
• In-depth knowledge of UK financial regulations (e.g., FCA, PRA handbooks).
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulatory text.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and concisely.
• Experience in conducting internal investigations and risk assessments.
