About the Role
Our client is seeking a diligent and knowledgeable Compliance Officer to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and internal policies within their financial operations in Liverpool . This critical role involves monitoring business activities, developing compliance programs, conducting risk assessments, and providing guidance to staff on regulatory requirements. You will play a key part in maintaining the company's integrity and reputation in the highly regulated UK financial services industry . The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial regulations, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to implement and enforce compliance procedures effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain the company's compliance program, ensuring alignment with current regulations.
- Monitor business activities and transactions to detect and prevent potential compliance breaches.

- Investigate compliance issues, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business, or a related field; professional compliance certifications are a plus.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a compliance, legal, or regulatory role within the financial services sector.
- Thorough knowledge of UK financial regulations (e.g., FCA, PRA rules) and AML/KYC requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a meticulous approach to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex regulations clearly.
- Proficiency in compliance monitoring software and standard office applications.
