About the Role

Our client seeks a meticulous and skilled Component Repair Technician to join their dedicated aviation MRO facility in Sunderland . This role is critical for ensuring the airworthiness and longevity of aircraft components. You will be responsible for the repair, overhaul, and testing of a wide range of aviation parts, adhering to strict industry standards and specifications. Key Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and overhauls on various aircraft components, including but not limited to mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical parts.
• Conduct thorough inspections and functional tests to ensure components meet aviation safety and performance standards.
• Diagnose faults and determine the most effective repair methods according to technical manuals and procedures.
• Maintain precise documentation of all repair activities, including parts used, labor time, and test results.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols and workshop procedures within the MRO environment.
• Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure all repairs meet regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Component Repair Technician or similar role in an MRO setting.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with precision tools and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of relevant aviation regulations and quality standards (e.g., EASA Part-145).
• A meticulous approach to work with a strong emphasis on quality and detail.
• Willingness to undertake further training to expand component repair capabilities.
