Computational Biologist - Drug Discovery

About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented Computational Biologist to join their innovative Drug Discovery team, working entirely remotely . You will work collaboratively with experimental biologists, chemists, and data scientists to drive research forward, contributing to the discovery of novel therapeutics. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and apply computational methods for analyzing large-scale biological datasets, including genomics, proteomics, and transcriptomics.
• Identify and prioritize potential drug targets using computational approaches and pathway analysis.
• Build predictive models for drug efficacy, toxicity, and pharmacokinetic properties.
• Collaborate with medicinal chemists and biologists to guide experimental design and interpret results.
• Design and implement bioinformatics pipelines and workflows.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in computational biology, bioinformatics, and drug discovery.

Requirements

• PhD in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
• Proven experience in computational biology and drug discovery research.
• Strong proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, R) and relevant bioinformatics tools/databases.
• Experience with statistical analysis, machine learning, and data visualization techniques.
• Familiarity with genomic and proteomic data analysis is essential.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively and independently in a fully remote environment, with excellent communication skills.
