About the Role
Our client is seeking a creative and skilled Computer Vision Engineer to join their dynamic research and development team in Belfast . This role focuses on developing advanced computer vision algorithms and systems that interpret and analyze visual data from various sources. You will play a key role in designing, implementing, and testing solutions for applications such as image recognition, object detection, segmentation, and 3D reconstruction. The ideal candidate will have a strong theoretical foundation in computer vision and machine learning, coupled with practical experience in building and deploying these systems, contributing to innovative products and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize algorithms for image processing, feature extraction, and pattern recognition.
- Implement and train deep learning models for tasks like object detection, classification, and tracking.
- Work with large datasets of images and videos, ensuring data quality and preparation for model training.
- Integrate computer vision solutions into existing software frameworks and hardware platforms.
- Collaborate with software engineers and researchers to define project requirements and deliverables.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements and research in computer vision and related AI fields.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with a focus on Computer Vision.
- Proven experience in developing and deploying computer vision algorithms.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python and C++.
- Hands-on experience with computer vision libraries (e.g., OpenCV) and deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow).
- Knowledge of 3D vision, stereo vision, or sensor fusion is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
