Computer Vision Engineer

About the Role

Our client, a pioneer in AI & Emerging Technologies , is seeking a talented Computer Vision Engineer to join their dedicated team in Leeds . This role focuses on developing and implementing advanced computer vision algorithms and systems that enable machines to 'see' and interpret the visual world. You will be instrumental in creating solutions for applications ranging from autonomous systems to medical imaging analysis. Working within a state-of-the-art facility, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of experts, driving innovation and contributing to projects with significant real-world impact. This is an on-site position demanding close collaboration and access to specialized hardware.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize computer vision algorithms for tasks such as object detection, image segmentation, and facial recognition.
• Implement and train deep learning models using frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch for visual data processing.
• Work with large datasets of images and videos, ensuring efficient data handling and augmentation.
• Develop and test computer vision systems on various hardware platforms, including embedded systems and GPUs.
• Collaborate with software engineers to integrate vision capabilities into larger applications and products.
• Conduct research into new computer vision techniques and contribute to the company's intellectual property.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with a focus on computer vision or machine learning.
• Proven experience (3+ years) in developing and deploying computer vision solutions.
• Strong programming skills in C++ and Python , with expertise in relevant libraries (OpenCV, dlib).
• Solid understanding of image processing techniques and deep learning architectures for vision tasks.
• Experience with GPU programming and optimization is highly desirable.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, in-office team environment in Leeds .
