Computer Vision Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Computer Vision Engineer to contribute to their advanced AI projects, based in their Edinburgh office. You will be responsible for developing and deploying sophisticated algorithms and systems that enable machines to 'see' and interpret visual information. This role is critical for advancing our client's capabilities in areas like image recognition, object detection, and video analysis within a collaborative, in-office environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize computer vision algorithms for image and video analysis.
• Develop and train deep learning models for tasks such as object detection, image segmentation, and facial recognition.
• Work with large image datasets, ensuring data quality and implementing effective preprocessing techniques.
• Integrate computer vision solutions into product pipelines and real-time applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and deliverables.

Requirements

• Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with a focus on computer vision.
• Demonstrable experience in computer vision development and algorithm implementation.
• Proficiency in Python and C++, along with computer vision libraries (e.g., OpenCV, Pillow).
• Strong knowledge of deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) and experience with CNNs.
• Experience with image data handling and augmentation techniques.
