About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented Computer Vision Engineer to join their innovative R&D team in Leeds . You will be instrumental in developing and implementing cutting-edge computer vision algorithms and solutions for a range of applications. This role offers the chance to work with complex visual data, from image processing and object detection to scene understanding and augmented reality. You will collaborate closely with a team of engineers and researchers to bring advanced visual intelligence capabilities to life, contributing significantly to the company's product development and technological edge.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and optimize computer vision algorithms for tasks such as object detection, image segmentation, and facial recognition.
Implement and deploy computer vision models using deep learning frameworks.
Process and analyze large image and video datasets to extract meaningful insights.
Collaborate with hardware and software teams to integrate vision systems into products.
Conduct research into new computer vision techniques and technologies.
Evaluate and benchmark the performance of vision models and systems.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in computer vision, including areas like image processing, feature extraction, and machine learning.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or C++, and relevant libraries (OpenCV, dlib).
Experience with deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
Solid understanding of camera models, calibration, and 3D vision concepts.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for real-world vision challenges.
