Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Connectivity CPE Architect to lead the technical work stream for a next-generation Wi-Fi gateway and home connectivity programme.
Kings Road, UK | Hybrid - 2 days/week Contract until June 2027 Up to £830/day via Umbrella 40 hours/week
Key Responsibilities
- Define CPE architecture, technical specifications and requirements.
- Lead technical RFI/RFP and supplier evaluation activities.
- Assess CPE OEM and silicon vendor proposals.
- Lead supplier workshops and technical PoCs.
- Develop technical scoring, compliance matrices and recommendations.
- Work closely with Product, Procurement, Engineering and Technology leadership.
Essential Experience
- Strong recent consumer/residential CPE experience.
- Broadband gateways, home routers, mesh/Wi-Fi devices.
- Strong Wi-Fi 6/7 knowledge; Wi-Fi 8 desirable.
- Experience with CPE OEMs / silicon vendors.
- RFI/RFP and supplier selection experience.
- Knowledge of RDK-B, OpenWRT, DOCSIS, XGS-PON or similar technologies.
- Important: Generic Network, Cloud or Infrastructure Architects without recent consumer CPE experience will not be suitable.
