Construction Contracts Manager

About the Role

Our client seeks a highly experienced Construction Contracts Manager to oversee contract administration and negotiation for projects in and around Norwich . This senior role requires a deep understanding of construction law, contract types, and commercial risk management. You will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and managing all project contracts, ensuring favorable terms and mitigating potential disputes. This hybrid position offers the chance to work closely with senior management and project teams, contributing strategically to the company's commercial success and project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate construction contracts, subcontracts, and consultancy agreements.
• Manage the entire contract lifecycle from procurement through to project completion.
• Oversee the administration of contracts, including managing variations, claims, and payments.
• Advise on contractual rights and obligations, providing guidance to project teams.
• Identify and manage commercial risks associated with construction contracts.
• Liaise with legal counsel, clients, and subcontractors on contractual matters.

Requirements

• Extensive experience as a Contracts Manager or Senior Contracts Administrator in the construction industry.
• In-depth knowledge of UK construction law, contract forms (e.g., JCT, NEC), and procurement routes.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and commercial acumen.
• Proven ability to manage complex contractual issues and resolve disputes effectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working in a hybrid office and remote environment.
