Construction Foreman

About the Role

Our client is seeking a hands-on and experienced Construction Foreman to lead and supervise on-site activities for projects in Oxford . You will be directly responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the construction site, ensuring work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of construction processes. You will manage a team of skilled labourers and tradespeople, coordinate with subcontractors, and ensure adherence to project plans and safety regulations. This is a critical role for the successful execution of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise the daily activities of construction crews and subcontractors on-site.
• Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with project plans, specifications, and safety standards.
• Manage site logistics, including material delivery, equipment, and personnel deployment.
• Conduct daily safety briefings and ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
• Inspect work performed by crews to ensure quality and adherence to standards.
• Report on site progress, labour, and material usage to the Site Manager or Project Manager.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Construction Foreman or in a similar supervisory role on construction sites.
• In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid CSCS card or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings.
