About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned and strategic Construction Health and Safety Manager to lead their safety initiatives on a fully remote basis. This senior role is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive health, safety, and environmental (HSE) strategies across all company construction projects. You will champion a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with all legal requirements and industry best practices, whilst managing and mentoring a remote HSE team. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement robust HSE policies and procedures for all construction operations.
• Conduct high-level risk assessments and develop strategic mitigation plans.
• Oversee incident investigation, reporting, and the implementation of corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with all national and international HSE regulations and standards.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the remote HSE team to foster a proactive safety culture.
• Advise senior management on all HSE matters, providing clear and actionable recommendations.
• Manage the HSE budget and resource allocation effectively.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in a senior Health and Safety management role within the construction industry .
• Possession of a relevant professional qualification (e.g., NEBOSH Diploma, IOSH Chartered).
• Proven ability to manage HSE remotely and implement effective virtual oversight strategies.
• In-depth knowledge of UK and international HSE legislation and best practices.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and influencing skills.
• Experience in developing and delivering strategic HSE plans.
