About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Construction Health and Safety Officer to ensure a safe working environment across their projects in Brighton . You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring health and safety policies and procedures on construction sites. This critical role involves conducting risk assessments, delivering safety training, and ensuring compliance with all legal requirements. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety plans for construction projects.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance.
• Investigate accidents and incidents, recommending corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Provide health and safety training and toolbox talks to site personnel and management.
• Maintain accurate records of safety performance, inspections, and training.
• Advise management on all aspects of health, safety, and environmental legislation and best practice.

Requirements

• Recognized qualification in Health and Safety (e.g., NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health and Safety).
• Proven experience as a Health and Safety Officer in the construction sector.
• In-depth knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and regulations.
• Strong communication, reporting, and presentation skills.
• Ability to effectively influence and engage individuals at all levels.
• Proficiency in conducting risk assessments and developing method statements.
