About the Role

Our client is looking for a dynamic and experienced Construction Manager to oversee significant building projects in the Reading area. This senior role requires strong leadership to manage all aspects of site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will lead project teams, manage subcontractors, and maintain excellent relationships with clients and stakeholders. The position offers a hybrid working arrangement, blending site presence with office-based planning and administration, based in the thriving commercial hub of Reading .

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans and schedules.
• Oversee and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel to optimize workflow and productivity.
• Implement and enforce stringent health, safety, and environmental policies across the construction site.
• Manage project budgets, track expenses, and implement cost-control measures to ensure profitability.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with specifications.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and local authorities, fostering strong working relationships.

Requirements

• Significant experience as a Construction Manager or Senior Site Manager in the building sector.
• Demonstrated expertise in project management, including planning, scheduling, and risk management.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, construction methodologies, and relevant legislation.
• Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in construction management software and standard office tools.
