Construction Planner - Large Scale Developments

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and analytical Construction Planner to join their dynamic team, responsible for planning major construction and development projects in the Liverpool area. You will be crucial in developing and managing comprehensive project schedules, identifying critical path activities, and forecasting resource needs. This role requires a deep understanding of construction sequencing, project management principles, and advanced planning software. The ideal candidate will contribute to the efficient execution of large-scale developments, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget by creating robust and realistic construction plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update master project schedules using planning software.
• Analyze project timelines, identify critical path activities, and potential risks.
• Collaborate with project teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
• Coordinate with site teams to ensure adherence to the construction schedule.
• Prepare progress reports and present schedule updates to stakeholders.
• Identify resource requirements and potential constraints for project execution.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Construction Planner or Scheduler.
• Proficiency in project planning software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
• Strong understanding of construction processes and sequencing for large-scale projects.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Relevant degree or HND in Construction, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
