About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Construction Planner to join their team, with a strong emphasis on meticulous planning and scheduling for diverse construction projects. This role is crucial for ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and effectively, requiring a deep understanding of construction sequencing, resource management, and risk mitigation. While the core duties are office-based, there may be occasional requirements for site visits. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and updating comprehensive project schedules that align with project objectives and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using advanced planning software.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and site teams to define project scope, phases, and milestones.
- Identify potential risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate schedule impacts.
- Monitor project progress and performance against the baseline schedule, reporting deviations and proposing corrective actions.
- Conduct site visits as necessary to assess progress and validate schedule updates.
- Ensure effective resource allocation and coordination to meet project timelines.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience as a Construction Planner or Scheduler.
- Proficiency with planning software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or Asta Powerproject.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequences, and dependencies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively with project stakeholders at all levels.
