Construction Planner

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and proactive Construction Planner to join their team, contributing to the success of diverse construction projects in and around Norwich . You will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and updating detailed project schedules, ensuring that all phases of construction are logically sequenced and achievable. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of construction methodologies, and the ability to utilize planning software effectively. Your expertise will be crucial in forecasting project timelines, identifying potential delays, and collaborating with project teams to maintain project momentum and ensure timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed construction master schedules using planning software (e.g., Primavera P6, ASTA Powerproject).
• Analyse project requirements and design information to create logical and efficient construction sequencing.
• Monitor project progress against the baseline schedule, identifying critical path activities and potential delays.
• Prepare regular progress reports, highlighting achievements, deviations, and look-ahead programmes.
• Collaborate with project managers, site teams, and subcontractors to gather information and resolve scheduling conflicts.
• Update and revise schedules as necessary due to changes in scope, resources, or site conditions in Norwich .

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Construction Planner or Scheduler on building and infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in using advanced planning software such as Primavera P6, ASTA Powerproject, or similar.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and critical path analysis.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications for planning purposes.
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to present complex information clearly.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with project stakeholders.
