About the Role
Our client is seeking a meticulous and forward-thinking Construction Planner to join their bustling operations in Bradford . You will be responsible for developing and maintaining detailed construction schedules, ensuring that projects are planned effectively to meet deadlines and budget constraints. This role is critical in coordinating project phases, resource allocation, and identifying potential delays or conflicts. Working closely with project managers and site teams, you will contribute to the smooth and efficient execution of diverse construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and update comprehensive project schedules using planning software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
- Collaborate with project teams to define project scope, milestones, and deliverables.
- Identify critical path activities, potential risks, and resource constraints within the project plan.
- Monitor project progress against the baseline schedule and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Prepare and present regular progress reports, including delay analysis and look-ahead schedules.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Construction Planner or Scheduler.
- Proficiency in industry-standard planning software such as Primavera P6 and MS Project.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with project teams.
