About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and skilled Construction Planner to contribute to their projects in Wolverhampton . This role is vital for developing and managing comprehensive construction schedules, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget. You will work closely with project managers, site teams, and subcontractors to create logical, achievable plans, and then monitor progress against these plans, identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies. This hybrid position allows for collaboration both on-site and remotely, offering a dynamic work experience within the West Midlands construction sector, for an employer dedicated to efficient project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed master programmes and short-term construction plans using planning software.
- Collaborate with project teams to gather information for planning and progress reporting.
- Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure timely completion.
- Monitor site progress and update programmes accordingly, reporting on variances and impacts.
- Facilitate planning meetings with project stakeholders, including clients and subcontractors.
- Assist in the preparation of tender planning and method statements.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Construction Planner or in a similar scheduling role.
- Proficiency with planning software such as Primavera P6, Asta PowerProject, or similar.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and durations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively.
